Tomorrow, the focus shifts entirely to finding actionable solutions and securing commitments.
The collaborative energy between organizers (Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute (KMFRI) OFFICIAL, LakeHub, Mwalimu Nyerere University of Agriculture and Technology (MNUAT), and other KijaniSpace consortium Partners) and local stakeholders is immense, setting the stage for a resilient, data-driven agricultural future in East Africa.
Keynote speakers on the first day:
Ms Susan Odhiambo, Country Director of Fisheries in Kisumu County;
Mr George Agwena, Senior Fisheries Officer, Kenya Fisheries Service represented the Deputy Director of Fisheries;
and Mr Samson Kidera, Regional Director for the Nyanza and Western Regions at the State Department for the Blue Economy and Fisheries.
